Overview
This website is operated by UK School Badges Ltd, trading as School Badges UK.
Throughout these terms, "we", "us" and "our" refer to School Badges UK.
These Terms of Service apply to the use of our website, purchases made online and orders accepted through other agreed channels.
Our store is hosted by Shopify, which provides the ecommerce platform used for online orders.
Please read these terms before ordering. Nothing in them removes legal rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

2. Using Our Website
Our website is intended for customers purchasing school badges and related products for lawful use.
You must not use the website for unlawful, fraudulent or unauthorised purposes.
You are responsible for keeping any account login details secure and notifying us if you suspect unauthorised account access.
We may reasonably restrict access where necessary to protect customers, website security or our business.
3. Placing Orders & Written Confirmation
When you place an order through our website or another accepted ordering channel, you are offering to purchase the selected products.
Order Acceptance
An order is considered accepted once School Badges UK confirms acceptance in writing.
Written confirmation may include email, an expressly confirmed order document, or another written communication method agreed with the customer.
For online orders, an automated acknowledgement of receipt does not necessarily constitute acceptance unless it expressly states that the order has been accepted.
Once we have accepted an order, a binding contract is formed subject to these terms, the confirmed order details and applicable law.
When We Cannot Accept an Order
We may be unable to accept an order if:
- A product is unavailable.
- Payment cannot be authorised.
- A clear pricing error has occurred.
- We cannot meet the requested specifications or production requirements.
- We reasonably suspect fraud.
- Delivery or legal restrictions prevent fulfilment.
Where we cannot accept an order, we will contact you and arrange an appropriate refund of any payment already received.
Your order becomes binding when we confirm acceptance in writing. For personalised and custom-made products, this is also the point at which our no-change-of-mind cancellation condition applies.
4. Online Orders & Payments
Customers ordering through our website checkout are normally required to pay at the time of ordering.
Payment is processed through the payment methods made available at checkout.
Product prices, applicable delivery charges and taxes are displayed before you complete your order.
Consumer Rights
Consumers purchasing online retain all applicable statutory rights under UK consumer law.
This includes legal cancellation rights for eligible standard products and rights relating to faulty, damaged, incorrect or misdescribed goods.
The statutory change-of-mind cancellation right generally does not apply to genuinely personalised or custom-made goods.
Full information about our returns scheme appears in section 11.
5. Invoice Orders & 30-Day Payment Terms
School Badges UK offers invoice payment arrangements to approved schools, academies, trusts, businesses and organisations.
30-Day Invoice Terms
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, approved invoice customers must pay the outstanding balance within 30 calendar days of the invoice date.
Invoices on Despatch
Invoices are normally issued when goods are despatched. The due date will be clearly stated on the invoice, subject to applicable law.
Invoice Eligibility
Invoice payment is only available where School Badges UK has agreed to provide this arrangement.
Submitting a school purchase order does not automatically establish a credit account or guarantee invoice acceptance.
We may require additional customer or billing details before approving an invoice order.
Payment Deadline
Unless an alternative payment arrangement has been agreed, the full outstanding balance must be paid by the due date stated on the invoice.
Any mandatory payment rules applicable to public authority contracts or other transactions will take precedence where required.
Late Payments
Where an invoice becomes overdue, we may contact you to request settlement of the outstanding amount.
For qualifying business debts, we reserve the right to charge statutory late-payment interest and recover applicable debt recovery costs where permitted by law.
We may also review or withdraw future credit arrangements where invoices remain unpaid.
Any genuine dispute about an invoice should be raised with us as soon as possible so it can be investigated.
Our standard approved invoice arrangement is 30 calendar days from the invoice date, with invoices normally issued upon despatch. Any different terms must be agreed in writing.
6. Deposits, Advance Payments & High-Value Orders
While many approved customers qualify for invoice payment, School Badges UK may request full or partial payment before production or despatch.
When Advance Payment May Be Required
We may request advance payment where reasonably appropriate, including:
- High-value orders.
- Large-volume orders.
- Bespoke manufacturing projects.
- Orders requiring substantial materials or production commitments.
- New customers or accounts requiring additional credit checks.
- Circumstances where we reasonably consider advance payment necessary.
Written Agreement Before Acceptance
If an advance payment or deposit is required, we will confirm the amount and applicable payment conditions in writing before accepting the order.
These conditions will form part of the agreed order terms.
Where a deposit is required, production may not begin until the agreed amount has been received.
Remaining Balance
Where partial payment has been made, the remaining balance must be paid according to the written payment terms agreed for that order.
Unless otherwise agreed, an approved invoice balance is due within 30 calendar days of the invoice date.
Deposit Refunds
Any refund or retention of an advance payment will be assessed according to the agreed terms, applicable law and the circumstances of the order.
Nothing in this section makes every deposit automatically non-refundable or limits statutory rights.
If we require full or partial payment upfront, we will tell you in writing before accepting the order. We will not introduce an unagreed deposit requirement after order acceptance.
7. Personalised, Customised & Bespoke Orders
We offer a wide range of personalised and custom-made school badges and related products.
These may include products manufactured using customer names, individual wording, logos, designs or other specific requirements.
Cancellation After Written Confirmation
Once School Badges UK has confirmed acceptance of a genuinely personalised, customised-to-specification or bespoke order in writing, the order cannot be cancelled simply because the customer changes their mind.
This applies whether confirmation is issued by email or another agreed written confirmation method.
It applies from the point of written acceptance, even where manufacturing has not yet commenced.
This condition does not prevent us from agreeing to a cancellation voluntarily in exceptional circumstances.
What Counts as a Personalised Product?
The condition applies to products genuinely made to the customer's specifications or clearly personalised, rather than every product selected using ordinary stock options.
Examples may include:
- Badges produced with customer-specified names or individual wording.
- Badges manufactured using bespoke artwork or logos.
- Custom designs created specifically for an order.
- Products made to unique customer specifications.
Whether an item is genuinely personalised or custom-made depends on the nature of the product and its specification, not simply the label used.
Customer Responsibilities
Customers must carefully check all personalisation details before submitting or approving an order.
This includes names, spelling, punctuation, colours, finishes, quantities, logos and artwork.
Changes After Confirmation
Contact us immediately if you discover an error.
We will consider whether changes are possible, but cannot guarantee amendments after written order acceptance.
If a change is possible, additional charges or revised production times may apply. These will be discussed before proceeding.
Your Statutory Rights
The personalised-order cancellation condition does not affect rights where goods are faulty, incorrect, misdescribed or do not meet applicable legal requirements.
Once your genuinely personalised or bespoke order is accepted in writing, you cannot cancel it merely because you change your mind. Please check all details before confirming. Statutory rights are unaffected.
8. Artwork, Logos & Design Proofs
Customers providing artwork, logos, school crests or other designs confirm that they have permission to use those materials for the requested order.
Proof Approval
Where a digital proof is provided, customers must check all details before approval.
Approving a proof confirms acceptance of the wording, design and specifications shown in that proof.
Digital proofs are representations of the intended product. Screen colours may differ from physical materials and finishes.
Customer-Supplied Errors
Where we accurately reproduce incorrect customer-supplied information, requested corrections or remakes may involve additional charges.
If a product does not match the agreed specification because of an error on our part, we will investigate and provide an appropriate remedy.
Your statutory rights remain unaffected.
9. Products, Pricing & Availability
We aim to ensure product descriptions, images, specifications and prices are accurate.
Product colours and metallic finishes may appear different depending on screen settings, lighting and production processes.
Minor manufacturing variations may occur where consistent with the agreed specification and normal production tolerances.
Nothing in this section excuses faulty products or products that are not as described.
Quantity Pricing
Certain products qualify for quantity price breaks, which depend on the selected products, specifications and order quantities.
The applicable pricing is shown on product pages, at checkout or in an agreed quotation.
Availability
All products are subject to availability.
If we are unable to fulfil an accepted order, we will contact you and discuss the available remedies, including an appropriate refund.
10. Shipping, Despatch & Delivery
Same-Day Despatch
Eligible in-stock products ordered and paid for before 2:00pm Monday to Friday, excluding bank holidays, qualify for same-day despatch.
Orders placed after the cut-off are normally despatched the next working day.
Personalised and made-to-order products have separate production times and do not automatically qualify for same-day despatch.
Delivery Services
Royal Mail Tracked 24 is our standard delivery service for eligible orders.
Other delivery options may be available at checkout depending on the products and destination.
Tracked 24 is not a guaranteed next-day delivery service.
Free Delivery Over £250
Free standard delivery is available on qualifying orders over £250 to eligible mainland UK addresses.
International and non-mainland UK orders are excluded from this offer.
Delivery Problems
If your order is delayed, damaged or appears lost during delivery, please contact us so we can investigate.
Consumer rights relating to delivery deadlines and goods lost or damaged in transit are unaffected.
SAME-DAY DESPATCH DETAILS → SHIPPING INFORMATION →11. Returns, Refunds & Store Credit
School Badges UK offers a 360-day goodwill returns scheme on eligible unused stock products.
The following return options apply, subject to the scheme conditions:
| Return Period | Return Option |
|---|---|
| Within 30 days | 100% product value: refund, exchange or store credit |
| Days 31–90 | 75% store credit |
| Days 91–180 | 50% store credit |
| Days 181–360 | 25% store credit |
| After 360 days | No further goodwill change-of-mind returns |
Conditions of Return
- Goods must be unused.
- Goods must be undamaged.
- Original packaging is required.
- Items must be suitable for resale.
- All goodwill returns are subject to inspection.
- Customers pay return postage for change-of-mind returns under the scheme.
This scheme does not apply to goods made to a customer's specifications or clearly personalised.
Returns periods run from the delivery date. Please contact us within the applicable period.
Store credit is calculated using the original amount paid for eligible returned products, excluding delivery.
Consumer Cancellation Rights
Consumers making eligible distance purchases generally have a statutory 14-day cancellation period, subject to legal exceptions.
Genuinely personalised or custom-made goods are generally excluded from that change-of-mind cancellation right.
Statutory refunds, delivery costs and cancellation timescales will be handled according to applicable law.
Nothing in our 360-day goodwill scheme restricts your statutory consumer rights.
VIEW FULL RETURNS POLICY →12. Faulty, Damaged or Incorrect Goods
If your products arrive faulty, damaged, incorrect or not as described, please contact us with your order details.
We may ask for photographs or further information to help investigate.
Depending on the circumstances and your legal rights, an appropriate remedy may include repair, replacement, price reduction or refund.
Where legally required, we will cover reasonable return costs for faulty or incorrectly supplied goods.
Our goodwill conditions, including original packaging and the 360-day deadline, do not restrict statutory rights.
13. Schools, Organisations & Business Customers
We supply individual customers, schools, academies, trusts, businesses and organisations.
Purchase Orders
Customers may submit purchase orders using our agreed ordering procedures.
A purchase order is not automatically accepted until School Badges UK has confirmed acceptance in writing.
Invoice Arrangements
Approved invoice customers receive payment terms as described in section 5.
We may request full or partial advance payment under section 6, provided this is confirmed and agreed before order acceptance.
Business and Consumer Rights
Whether a customer has statutory consumer rights depends on the legal status and purpose of the purchase, not simply whether the customer is a school, teacher or organisation.
Purchases made wholly or mainly for business purposes may not qualify for consumer-specific cancellation rights.
Expressly agreed written business terms will apply alongside these Terms of Service, subject to applicable law.
14. Customer Accounts & Billing Information
Customers must provide accurate billing, contact and delivery information.
Please notify us promptly if any order information needs correcting.
We may reasonably request verification where required to prevent fraud or resolve an order issue.
15. Intellectual Property & Website Content
Unless otherwise stated, our product photographs, descriptions, graphics, layouts and original designs belong to School Badges UK or are used with permission.
You must not reproduce or commercially exploit this content without permission, except as permitted by law.
Customer-provided logos, names, crests and artwork remain subject to the rights of their owners.
Customers supplying materials grant us permission to use them as reasonably necessary to manufacture and fulfil the relevant order.
16. Prohibited Website Uses
You must not use our website to:
- Engage in unlawful or fraudulent activity.
- Submit deliberately false information.
- Upload malicious code.
- Attempt unauthorised access.
- Interfere with website security.
- Infringe intellectual property rights.
- Harass or threaten others.
- Collect personal information without lawful authority.
- Unlawfully scrape or overload our systems.
We may restrict website access or take other appropriate action where these requirements are breached.
17. Third-Party Services & Websites
Our website uses third-party services, including Shopify, payment providers and delivery companies.
Some links may lead to independently operated external websites.
We do not control those websites or their privacy practices.
This does not remove any responsibility we have under law.
18. Privacy & Personal Information
Personal information is collected and processed as described in our Privacy Policy.
This includes information required for ordering, personalisation, delivery, payment and customer service.
Please read our Privacy Policy for further information about data protection and your legal rights.
VIEW PRIVACY POLICY →19. Website Information & Errors
We aim to keep all prices, descriptions and product information accurate and current.
Occasionally, errors or omissions may occur.
We may correct information where reasonably necessary.
If an error affects an order, we will handle the matter fairly and according to applicable law.
Changes to our website do not automatically alter contracts already formed.
20. Liability & Statutory Rights
Nothing in these Terms of Service excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so.
In particular, nothing excludes liability for:
- Death or personal injury caused by negligence.
- Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
- Statutory consumer rights that cannot lawfully be restricted.
- Any other liability that cannot legally be excluded.
Consumer Customers
Consumers retain their statutory rights, including rights concerning faulty, misdescribed or unsuitable goods.
Business Customers
For business purchases, liability is governed by the relevant contract and applicable law, including legal controls on the fairness and enforceability of liability restrictions.
Website Availability
Temporary interruptions may occur because of maintenance, technical issues or circumstances outside our reasonable control.
Any responsibility for resulting losses will be determined according to applicable law.
21. Changes to Our Terms & Services
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time.
The latest version will be published on this page.
Material changes will not retrospectively alter accepted orders unless agreed or legally permitted.
We may restrict website access where reasonably necessary for security, maintenance or misuse prevention.
If any provision of these terms is unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply where legally possible.
22. Governing Law
These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of England and Wales, subject to mandatory legal protections available to customers elsewhere.
The courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction, except where applicable consumer law provides otherwise.
Failure to enforce a term on one occasion does not automatically prevent its lawful enforcement in future.
These terms apply alongside our relevant published policies and any expressly agreed written order conditions.
